Friendly Community Choir
An established choir welcoming Sopranos, Altos, Tenors, and Barritones.
Star Chorale is open to all members of the wider community from 16 years onward. The repertoire includes symphonic masterworks accompanied by orchestra and professional soloists, to classical motets, recent Australian compositions, much loved folk-songs and traditional music from around the world.

Our Approach

Planning
Conductor Andrew Wailes has a vast knowledge of classical and modern music. His program and concert design is widely sought after.

Learning
The ability to read music is an advantage, if not a necessity in this choir. A high level of sight reading is handy but not essential.

Practice
Rehearsals are held on the Thursday evening from 7.30 – 10.00 pm. They are a mixture of challenge, fun and exhilaration.

Performance
Bringing it all together for live performance to an appreciative audience makes it all very special.
